I can help with a positive buff list. Heres basic ideas for basic status effects

Poison= Damage over time or a status reduction, can be cured with Antidote
Blind= You are unable use any action properly.
Frozen= Unable to move. Can be prevented with anti-freeze potion but not cured.
Burn= Suffer damage over time. Can be cured with Aloe Elixir
Sleep= Cannot move, being attacked has a high chance to wake you up. Caffeine products can be taken as a preventive before hand.

Beneficial Status effects of essentially the same idea with some others

Status (Buff) Effects: Nimble, Berserk, Robust, Regen, Favor, Astute, Tough, Alluring, Potency, Provocative, Focused, Veiled, Nullifying, Swift

Nimble=Increases Dexterity stat by x amount for z duration.
Berserk=Increases Strength stat by x amount for z duration.
Robust=Increases Vitality stat by x amount for z duration.
Regen=Heals X amount of Health for z duration.
Favor=Increases Luck stat by x amount for z duration.
Astute=Increases Intelligence stat by x amount for z duration.

Potency=Increases Critical hit chance by x amount for Z duration.

Protected=Damage you will receive will be taken by someone else
Provocative= Enemies are more likely to attack you
Focused= Deal additional damage to a target
Veiled= Character is camouflaged
Nullifying= Immune to Magic
Swift= Increases movement Speed

First and secondary temporary status effects

The idea that applying the same effect over and over can lead to an additional effect. For example - a target that has been on fire for a long time becoming vulnerable or a target that bleeds for a long time loosing strength stat.
